Story 14DX/AT127 Fort Bertheaume isl.

Story from 14DX/AT127 activity held during the DXRC Islands Weekend 2008.

Saturday, Guy 029 and me 079 arrived at the "office du tourisme" at 7h30GMT to obtain the keys of the castle on the island, in order to have 220V power there.

After a few troubles, and without success for the keys, we went to the mayor's office to pick up the authorisation which would allow us to stay on the island.
On the way back to the island, we had to go first to the city council's technical service to obtain the castle keys, but there was nobody there.

We decided to go to the island anyway, and see what would happen without the keys.
By chance there was a man who could open the castle's door to us, and we could finally set up the station.

At 10h30 GMT we are ready to transmit. We lost 3 hours with the administration, pffff.
We made 59 QSO to 8 divisions.

On Sunday, we arrived on the Is at 7h30GMT, we called and called, but no propagation.
1 hour later at 8h28 we put the first guy on the log and a second station, 1DX012.
No more in 2 hours, and we had a small opening just to put 3 guys on our log (30DX401) and the last (14AT029) 2 hours later.
At 13h00GMT without any propag, we stop the activity with 65 QSO on 8 div.
