Story 13DX/BY038 Story from 13DX/BY038 activity. Double iWi activation to the end of our Frankonia 4 river tour 25.11.2012 Hi again Friends After a good standard national Frankish lunch "marinated beef dumplings and red cabbage" +1 wheat beer. :-) We felt strongly about the drive in the direction Uehlfeld # 2. The weather was not good as in the beginning, many dark clouds and a strong wind was blowing and we were hoping that it would not start raining. The Antenna was quickly assembled and erected, then still connected equipment, and we began the activation of BY038. Incidentally all the islands in this tour are " new one " on 11 meters. The condition was very good as in the morning. Every minute is a log entry, again a strong Pile up. After 1.5 hours, the wind was so strong that we were afraid that the mast is not strong enough. The flag on the mast waved so strong that we could hear the noise in the car. We consider what we do and we decided to finish the activation. As we heard from Dutch radio friends that there is also the wind was very strong, the decision was right, we had the wind from the northwest. It was a very successful day for us and surely for you too. Thank you for the discipline and comprehension from all the stations who worked us in this year of 11 iwi's. Just a word to those who have not make it to reach us, we are already planning for next year. :-) We are definitely back on air in 2013, many new island waiting to be activated. This tour is now over. We say to you that you were great and we look forward to next year.
