Story 14DX/23012L Story from 14DX/23012L activities held during July 2009. Hello DXers 1st part, 23012L Cheix Isl. This day i expected to do 23009L but with bad wx i decided to go on other island area founded on google earth some weeks ago and now with ref. (CHEIX isl. 23012L) for future activation. When arrived near lake I look a small wood bridge and wx getting better... I always have an antenna + coax + battery + RTX in my car... I decided to active and pray for no rain. Prop was not really wonderfull but logged quickly first stations from 31, 47, 1, 16 1… No many people just some joggers or walkers around lake. I am a bit surprise cause am in a city (LA SOUTERRAINE) and there is a camping just next lake. Its true wx is not really great and no many tourists in July. I stayed 3 & half hours on island but I'll be back with Skypper next time. 2nd part, 23012L Cheix Isl It was 3 days later, my second attempt from CHEIX isl. WX is very good this day but prop is worse as never, only few qso in 5 hours on island. I had many swimming breaks. Just time to time 30, 47, 14 nothing else. I will try again.
