Story 14DX/VGI Laud Gelade Isl - IWI Hi to all, I knew for a long time this island which didn't have a iwi ref, but to access the Island a boat was needed - boat with motor would be even better. I planned to do /VGI activation on 03/10/2008, but it was impossible due very bad WX, I planned again on 11/10/2008 and this time WX was very nice sunshine and 24°c. I needed approx 1h30 from my house to the island, I started a bit later hoping for good conditions and immediately some stations in log. 1st was 304 div and some from 3 and 44 div. with a big FM QRM from Russian area. I was active for only 1 hour and did make 16 qso. I decided to return back again the following week. It was 17/10/2008 for 2nd part, with low propagation I contacted some friends and iwi hunters from 26, 47, 13, 161, 19, 14, 1, 13 & 29 div. While on the island it was nice to find some mushrooms (boletus), I also found another island with easy access surely due low water level to the lake. The second iwi is VERGNOLAS island, I will be active from there soon, also many more iwi's during end of 2008 and 2009, stay tuned !! 73’s from Marc 14DX181 iwiman return
