Story 161DX/EU132 Story from 161DX/EU132 activity held during April 2008 written by Tom 161DX013. Day before… a rainy day… silence on the band… A lot of improvement possible… Darek 161SD102 and Luk 161SD558 called me today. We will go to Karsibór Island EU132 tomorrow anyway, and we will carry hope with us. I will meet the guys for the first time ever. So a short checking of the equipment packed, short goodbye to the family and "lets go to Karsibór!". We arrived at EU132 Karsibor Friday, at 5.30 in the morning… then we spent 2 hours installing the antenna system and adjusting the SWR… silence on the band. Then a short opening, thanks John 47DX101 and Simon 13DX070 for the short contact! Saturday a short trip to EU 129, Goermitz/Gormitz Island in Germany… More info soon. In the evening Daniel 161AT137 and Teresa, his girlfriend visited our station. Thank you very much! Unfortunately Saturday and Sunday was very quiet on 27.555, so we decided to leave Karsibor Island, Sunday at 14.30. Thank you very much for chatting on cluster and for being on the frequency.
