Story 169DX/EU114/S Story from 169DX/EU114/S activity. Idea was in mind since few months , we wanted to do a common trip with few friends (14AT143, 14AT397, 14AT675). Leaving on 2nd June, on our way to St Malo we made a stop to meet 14AT072 Norbert for a great BBQ (tnx Norbert we all appreciate meeting you once again). Few hours later departure with condor ferries to Guernsey island . After a short night staying on Guernsey we all move to the seaport , traveling with Sark shipping company , beautiful weather , we’re just in front of Herm and Jethou isl . Sark is not far away. After few minutes we finally arrive by the north coast of Sark island , a wonderful landscape until Masseline harbour. We finally reach our B&B, after a short breakfast , team is doing some shopping , the afternoon will begin with some visit on the island and a short trek around north coast ,weather is perfect more than 25°c. We come back and finally erect the skypper, AT team will be on air. I do begin the DX activation quite late on the evening 14FAT123 Pierrick is the first qso of the activation, 10 stations will be logged before the beginning of the Island Festival 2011, at 00:16 UTC 2AT715 will be the 1st station in the log for the Iota event, followed by 2WW279 , 15 stations logged for the until I qrt for the night. Saturday morning 14RD/MA005 will be the 1st qso of the day at 5:44 UTC 30SD013 will be last one at 10:26 UTC, I let the station for the Alfa Tango team activation. Main goal for this afternoon is to reach north coast of Sark and trying qrp equipment for la Grune and Courbée du nez island. But finally it appears to be very hard and dangerous to climb down from Sark to those islands , after checking all access we made decision with 14AT143 to return to the main base. I will take time to time the microphone, but afternoon will be mostly dedicated to the Alfa tango team . After a dinner in center town, all team return to b&b , at around 9pm UTC , a very nice open to Europe and finally logged 60qsos in one hour not so bad ,47DX142 will be the last in log for tonight . Sunday, our last day on Sark, weather is bad , propagation is awful , AT team will stay at the station while I will be visiting south part of the island. I will work only Gui and Diego from they’re iota activities and 14AT114 will be the last station added in the log . Around 150 qso’s and lots of fun friends, which was the most important to get . 73’s Ludo. return
