30DX/E058 - Formiga Gran Island Welcome to the information page of 30DX/E058 Formiga Gran Island This page is mainly made to offer log-search, and general information. NOTE FROM THE TEAM: After some comments which arrived to us, we want to make this public note. We deeply regret and apologize to anyone who may have felt deeply offended for using a frequency which was not allocated to us by the WWRO Island Festival organization. - First, we thought the allocated freqs were ONLY ORIENTATIVE, not compulsory to be used. - Second, we thought the frequencies were SUBJECT to noise, QRM, whistles, etc at that particular moment. Therefore we only tried to find a clear frequency. - Third, we did NOT have any intention to make QRM to other activations who were meant to use that same frequency. Were we asked to QSY, we would have GLADLY GONE. The team, 30DX184 George & 30DX401 Christian, want to make clear that if we went to an island in the middle of rough seas (please watch the video which prooves it), risking our equipment, it was NOT for causing intentional QRM to a particular team, but JUST for putting a NEW IOTA on the air in an effort to IMPROVE the 11m band.
